Knuckle Down: A Brothers' Curse

Historical Fiction / Ghost Story

Some debts are written in blood. Some games never end until someone dares to knuckle down. In 1862, on the blood-soaked hills of Perryville, two estranged brothers met across enemy lines. Whatever dark tragedy unfolded in the battlefield smoke birthed a vicious family curse — and an unfinished game echoing across generations. Over a century later, Gertrude Evans is drowning in grief following the line-of-duty death of her police-officer husband. Her fragile world shatters when the remains of Butch Stivers — a childhood bully who vanished into the limestone hollows after a terrifying 2001 playground marble match — are unearthed in Bardstown, Kentucky. When Gert's heirloom blue Bennington shooter flares with unnatural heat and a friend's twelve-year-old son disappears near the excavation, the nightmare resumes. To save an innocent boy from centuries of inherited rage, Gert must descend into the fractured caverns beneath Foster Heights and confront the restless spirits of Perryville. When the dead call the game, who will be left standing?
